September 2008 Construction Update

Big things are happening at NSA MidSouth! The first six new homes were delivered in September including a one-story ADA ready unit. Currently there are 45 houses under construction with delivery of the next phase planned for November. Additionally, the last 8 renovated four-bedroom units were delivered in the Enterprise Area bringing the total to 32! The first of the renovated Officer Capehart units was turned over to FCRM as well.

Work has begun on the Historic Renovation of two Executive Homes working closely with the State Historic Preservation Officer. Two Turnkey Officer Homes are being extensively modified to include adding a two-car garage, a covered patio in the front of the homes and a covered porch in the rear. Everyone is excited to see the fresh look of these houses!

A Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony was held to celebrate the turn over of the first new home to LT Johnny Mincey and his family. Speakers included Tom Henneberry, President of Forest City Military Communities, CAPT Bill McMasters, Commanding Officer NSA MidSouth and Terry Jones, Mayor of Millington, TN. It was a perfect day to give this lovely home to such a wonderful family!
